The travel section tells you everything about the public transport in Brussels, but it also boasts information about other nice cities in Belgium.
In Brussels there is a wide-spread network of public transport with trams, buses and metro. The best way to travel around Brussels would be by metro, but the centre of Brussels can also easily be done by foot. That’s why many tour organisations are offering different walks. If you want to go for something else, try Ghent, a beautiful place in Flanders. In summer there is also a festival called “Gentse feesten” which you can’t miss. Just like Bruges this place offers a lot of old manors and middle aged churches.
If it gets hot in summer, occasionally it does, and you want to take a cool dive, you have to go to the west-coast of Belgium. Just take the train and in almost one hour you’re on the beach. This coast is a part of Flanders and is situated next to the North Sea. The beaches run for 67 km between De Panne and Knokke-Heist. Most beaches include nice nature because of the dunes and almost all villages are adapted to tourists.
